Health Equity Narrative Lab
Led by BLIS Collective in partnership with Story Strategy Group, the Health Equity Narrative Lab convened advocates, organizers, and funders committed to health justice to co-create a new strategic narrative framework. Supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and informed by our prior Health Equity Narratives Project, the resulting “Health Equity Narrative House” is a powerful tool for shaping more effective public discourse around health equity. It helps identify harmful narratives and offers alternative framings, core messages, and storytelling strategies to advance the idea that health is a right, not a privilege. Adaptable across movements and organizations, the Narrative House can guide communications, organizing, advocacy, and grantmaking. Two complementary resources are available: the Health Equity Narrative House document, which details the full framework and theory, and the Action Guide, which offers concrete strategies for implementation.
